The Clinical Trial Application Process
1. Sign up to our platform
Complete our short Expression of Interest form to let us know you are interested in finding out more information about relevant trials.
2. Check your inbox periodically
If you are potentially eligible for an existing or an upcoming trial, we will send you a more detailed pre-screening form to complete.
3. Fill a detailed questionnaire
Your response on the pre-screen form will allow us to identify your eligibility for a study. If we feel you are a good match for study inclusion we will then arrange a screening phone-call - If you don’t hear from us, keep an eye on your inbox for other opportunities!
4. Speak to our team on the phone
During the pre-screen phone-call you will have the chance to ask any questions about the trial. We may also ask you more details about your physical and mental health history so try to take this call in a private location were you can speak freely. If you continue to meet the inclusion criteria for the trail we will invite you to attend an in person screening visit at our site in Newtownabbey.
5. Come to our clinic for a screening visit
Our clinical team will carry out health checks, including blood tests and diagnostic questionnaires, to determine whether you can safely participate in the trial.
6. Enrol in a clinical trial
Once our team is satisfied with your health and safety, you’ll be offered the opportunity to enrol in the trial. They’ll ensure you receive all the information and care you need. If you are not eligible for a specific trial for any reason, we can still consider you for future trials.

You'll receive innovative care from friendly, experienced doctors and psychiatrists in a safe and supportive setting. While we can't guarantee specific outcomes, this could be your opportunity to try something new—potentially benefiting yourself and helping advance treatments for others.

Taking part in a clinical trial is completely free, with all costs covered. Our clinical team are experts in trauma therapies and always put your wellbeing first, providing high-quality, compassionate care every step of the way.
Help Advance Medical Research
By joining a clinical trial, you'll directly contribute to important medical research in Northern Ireland. Your involvement can help expand knowledge about certain conditions and treatments, ultimately making a meaningful difference to the lives of many others.

How Do Psychedelic Clinical Trials Work?
Screening To ensure your safety and minimise risks, you'll have a medical check-up with our experienced doctors and nurses. This helps confirm you meet the health criteria for the trial. We will also discuss the commitment of the study and the days you will need to attend the site.
Preparation Our Nursing and Therapist team will meet with you to discuss the therapy process, answer any questions, and address your expectations and concerns. They'll help you feel comfortable and ready for your experience.
Dosing You'll receive the study drug (or a placebo, if the trial is placebo controlled) in a comfortable and calming space. Our therapists, nursing and medical team will monitor your physical and emotional responses carefully, offering support and reassurance throughout.
Integration Following the session, therapists will help you reflect on your experience, discussing any emotions or insights that arose. Together, you'll explore ideas that could lead to meaningful long-term improvements.
Follow-up Regular check-ins with healthcare professionals will monitor your progress, ensuring your ongoing wellbeing and assessing the long-term impact of the treatment.
Discharge Once your final check-in is complete, you'll receive a summary of your trial results and personalised recommendations for any further care or support.

Psychedelics in Clinical Research
Psychedelic substances like psilocybin, LSD, MDMA, and DMT are increasingly studied in clinical research due to their potential therapeutic benefits for mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and even chronic pain.
Clinical trials offer controlled and safe environments where researchers can explore the therapeutic effects, safety, and long-term benefits of psychedelics. Early results have been promising, suggesting psychedelics could offer a breakthrough in mental health treatments when used responsibly under professional guidance.
At Mirabilis Health with wish to explore both non-psychedelic and psychedelics clinical trials in order to provide innovative Mental Health care.
